This Japan Travel Adaptor will only accept two-pinned Australian and New Zealand plugs without earth. Designed with two flat vertical parallel pins, the Japan adaptor is similar to the US adaptor, only without the grounding pin. It will plug into US power outlets, but the US adaptor with the grounding pin will not plug into Japanese power outlets.
